Obama's lead in the presidential race has nearly disappeared, according to a new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll. The surge of attention to overseas crises and Republican attacks appears to have provided a boost for McCain. Overall, the poll finds the race a statistical dead heat, with 45% favoring Obama to 42% for McCain.
